Senator Shekarau slams Governor Wike over mosque demolition and declaring Rivers state a Christian state

Senator Ibrahim Shekarau on Friday August 30, slammed Governor Nyesom Wike over the demolition of a mosque in Port Harcourt and declaring Rivers State which he governs a Christian state.

Though the Rivers state government denied carrying out the demolition, the former Kano State Governor and Senator Representing Kano Central Senatorial District called on all right-thinking Nigerians to condemn the act which he described as “reckless”.

He said “All rationale and conscious citizens of this great country, Nigeria should join in condemning the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike for recklessly demolishing the Rainbow Town Central Mosque located at the Trans-Amadi Area of Port Harcourt and for irresponsibly declaring Rivers State a “Christian State,” and claiming to owe no apology to anyone.

“Muslims and other right-thinking and peace-loving citizens of this country should come together to condemn, in strongest terms, this irresponsible, reckless, rabble-rousing Governor whose apparent aim is to ignite a religious conflagration, the kind of which has never been seen in recent times.

“If a Muslim Governor were to come out openly and declare his state a “Muslim State” and proceed to demolish a church for any reason, all hell would have since broken loose in Nigeria, and sections of the Christian community would have since rushed to the “international community” and even the United Nations seeking protection against Muslims.

“The action of Governor Wike is a pointer to his being induced by other than rationale brain waves, as no leader in his right senses would contemplate stoking these embers of discord in a country so religiously, ethnically and regionally charged as Nigeria.

“We must repeat that were a Muslim Governor to be reckless to utter even half of what Governor Wike uttered, the fragile peace holding in this country would have since been jeopardized because of the intolerant nature of a section of the citizenry.

“Yet here we are, with the added tragedy of a cohort Christian clergy lining up to bless and endorse Governor Wike’s action.”

Senator Shekarau added that Nigeria belongs to everyone and no state in Nigeria can claim to be mono-religious. He went on to name some Rivers State indigenes who are Muslims.

“Nigeria belongs to all, and no state in Nigeria could claim to be mono religious.

“It only takes a responsible leadership to carry everybody along. When I held sway as governor of Kano State between 2003 and 2011, we encouraged and guided the people to lead their lives according to the tenets of Islamic Law (Shari’ah).

”But we neither became power-drunk to demolish Churches nor disregarded the provisions of section 10 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to declare Kano an Islamic State.

“Our fair dealings with every section of the community earned us commendation, even from Kano State Chapter and National Body of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) at different occasions. These Christian leaders are a still alive today to attest to my claim.

“It may interest Wike to learn that Mr. Tala Ilo from Bayelsa State and Mr. Chris Chibuzor Azuka from Anambra State, (both, born-again Christians) were special advisers in my administration.

“Wike’s claim that Rivers is a Christian State is pathological lies. It suggests that not only are the people of Rivers State 100% Christians but Muslims and adherents of other religions from other parts of Nigeria cannot make Rivers State their home.

” It also insinuates that Rivers State operates a government, a constitution of its own, different from the Nigerian Nation.

“It means Rivers State does not recognize or protect the interests of people like Alabo Mujahid Dokubo Asari, Alhaji Isa Boaima, Alhaji Sani Okiri, Alhaji Ahmed Sani Pe, Alhaji Abdul’aziz Pepple, Alhaji Sulaiman Akani, Alhaji Ibrahim Orlu, Alhaji Musa Brown, Chief Hassan Douglas and Alhaji Mustapha Wakama who are all Muslims and productive citizens of Rivers State” he wrote.

“Bride price is not Christian” Freeze says as he reveals no man will pay a single Kobo as bride price to marry his daughters

Daddy Freeze has condemned the payment of bride price and has said no daughter of his “will be bought or sold like a commodity”.

The media personality who has one biological daughter and other adopted daughters from his partner, said bride price is biblical but not “Christian”. He went on to add that he hopes for a world where the payment of bride price will be abolished.

He wrote:

No daughter of mine would be bought or sold like a commodity.

Bride price is biblical, yes, but NOT christian! It’s not everything that is biblical that is christian.

No where was any christian mandated to pay bride price and since we are all one in Christ (Galatians 3:28
There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ), neither male nor female. So unless groom price is introduced as well, let’s do away with a tradition that that in many places indicates that a woman has been bought and if she wants to leave the marriage she must leave the children of the marriage behind, absolute, ridiculous buffoonery and utter nonsense!

A clear biblical example of where murder was a ‘bride price’ as David killed 200 men and cut their penises just to marry Saul’s daughter.

Magnification of powers of witches led me into production of Christian movies

Pastor Mike Bamiloye, the President of Mount Zion Drama Ministry and Mount Zion Television took a walk back memory lane as he recounted what pushed him into production of Christian movies.

Revealing that he was angry at secular movies and foreign Christian movies shown in churches and crusade because they had interpreters passing off the message wrongly, the filmmaker asserted that the zeal to produce Christian movies was sparked off in 1986 long before Nollywood was born.

According to him, that there was no single Nigerian Christian film at that time that could preach on the power of Jesus Christ the way the movie AIYE had preached on the powers of the Witches and Wizards.

The Christian filmmaker revealed that 7 years after a repeated magnification of the powers of witches through Hubert Ogunde’s 1986 “JAYESINMI” movie (a sequel to AIYE), he produced his own movie AGBARA-NLA (Ultimate Power) which he said projected the Power and the Glory of Jesus Christ to high Heaven.

Many years ago, when I was so envious and jealous for Jesus Christ to make Nigerian Christian movies available for us to watch. I was angry at the secular movies that were existing then.
They were very few. Nollywood had not started then. But there were films of Hubert Ogunde like: Aiye, Jayesinmi, Aropin-Nteniyan, Ayanmo. And there were films of Moses Olaiya (Baba Sala) like: Mosebolatan, Orun Mooru, Diamond, and the earlier movies from Ade Afolayan (ADE Love) like Taxi Driver, Iyaniwura, etc. The curent Nollywood had not began then as we know it now.
In one of those days, I was burning with zeal in me to do films for Jesus Christ. I was angry at those secular movies and I was angry at the foreign Christian movies they show in churches and crusades that we would not hear what the Oyinbos were saying and the interpreters would be saying something else. Those were my anger, jealousy and envy in those days. I wanted Nigerian Christian movies for Jesus.

So, I went to watch Hubert Ogunde’s “AIYE” at Oduduwa Hall, University of Ife, then. The movie finished around 11pm. I got out of the hall, and my heart was full of the thought of doing something for Jesus.
I was sad. I was sad that there was no single Nigerian Christian film that could preach on the power of Jesus Christ, the way the movie AIYE had preached on the Powers of the Witches and Wizards. I was sad.
So, I got out of the hall at 11pm and began to think on how I could do movies for Jesus that would counter what I had just seen in the theatre. I was thinking and walking back home. And I trekked from Obafemi Awolowo University (then, University of Ife) to Urban Day in ILE Ife in the city, that would be several kilometres.

I was engulfed in the thoughts of doing a Counter movie. And I trekked that long distance in the midnight back to my house alone.
Few months later, in 1986, in Ilesa, the same thing repeated itself. I had gone to watch Hubert Ogunde’s “JAYESINMI”, a sequel to AIYE. The movie show held in Ilesa Town Hall at the centre of the city called Roundabout.

I was teaching then and the ministry had just began.
The magnification of the Powers and Witches and Wizards continued in an advanced stage. I shivered through out the film show. I was more sad and angry. I came out of the Hall around 10.15pm. And, like a mad man began to walk home on feet from Roundabout Ilesa, to Oke-Omi Iru. It is a lot of kilometres too.

Along the way, I saw an open air crusade, where the church was showing a foreign Christian movie to the people and the interpreter was talking along with the characters. I shook my head in more sadness. I wanted our own.

I wanted Christian movies by us either in English or local language the poeple would hear without an interpreter.
I got back home and crumbled beside my bed in prayers to God to launch us out to do something for him.
That was 1986.

Seven years later, 1993, the Lord came out with
AGBARA-NLA (Ultimate Power) that shook multitudes of people to their very foundation, as the Telemovie serial projected the Power and the Glory of Jesus Christ to high Heaven.

Popular Pastor, Zabulon Buthelezi impregnates Zion Christian Church leader’s wife

Popular South African televangelist, Pastor Zabulon Buthelezi has been accused of impregnating the wife of a community leader and member of the Zion Christian Church (ZCC) in Boksburg.

Narrating how his wife denied him sex for 6 years while allegedly giving it to the televangelist on the side, the ZCC leader alleged that his wife of 20 years also abused him emotionally by insisting on bathing naked in his presence without allowing him touch her. He disclosed that his wife backed her refusal to give in to his conjugal rights by citing the differences in their religious belief.

In the affidavit filed at Boksburg magistrate’s court, the jilted man also accused the founder of Revelations of Christ Apostolic Mission Church of threatening his life when he confronted him with proof.

The ZCC leader also stated he never suspected his wife was in an amorous relationship with Pastor Zabulon Buthelezi even with his repeated visits to their house, till he overheard his wife telling their daughter that she was in love with him.

“Every time I tried to touch her, she would parry my hand and threaten to open a case of rape against me if I continued to try my luck.

“I was not aware of their relationship and that my wife was pregnant by Pastor Buthelezi. After a few days I realised when my wife was speaking to my daughter that she is in love with Pastor Buthelezi” he said.

“He said he has a lot of beautiful women at his church, and he is going to deal with me because I dirtymark (sic) his name,” he wrote in his court papers.

Sunday World reported that Buthelezi refused to subject himself to a paternity test to determine if he was the father to the man’s wife’s child born on June 22. The popular South African Pastor and the man’s wife also declined commenting on the case already in court.

The case was adjourned to September for the court to determine if the founder of Revelations of Christ Apostolic Mission Church will be forced to go through the paternity test.

Tonto Dikeh shares Christian devotional message with hot photo

The actress who doesn’t seem to be shy from courting attention, surely got the attention of some of her followers who questioned her true belief in what she preaches on social media.

See the photo and the Christian devotional message shared:

*Good morning beautiful people of God, Here’s the rhapsody of realities devotional for today* *A GIFT FOR ALL.* *For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).* Romans 6:23 says,

*“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”* Eternal life is God’s gift to the world, not to Christians.

You become a Christian only after you’ve received eternal life, which is the life and nature of God. What Jesus came to do, the salvation He brought, was for the whole world. So, in the mind of justice, the whole world has been saved, because Jesus paid the price for every man’s sin. This is legal salvation. Vital salvation is only received by personal faith in Jesus Christ.

Unless one acknowledges, and accepts His vicarious sacrifice, he won’t experience the vital reality of the finished works of salvation in his personal life. That’s where we come in; those of us who have become Christians have a responsibility to tell the world what Jesus did. Many don’t believe because they haven’t heard. Romans 10:14 sums it rightly:

*“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”* They’ve got to hear that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that He’s made that life available to everyone. It’s a gift; therefore, they don’t have to work for it; all they need is to receive it. Romans 10:9-10 says, *“…if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”* That’s how simple it is to receive this glorious, wonderful gift of eternal life, and become an associate of the God-kind.

The human life is depraved, degenerate, and broken; but God has provided another life, the transcendent life, which He wants all men to have and live. It’s the life of absolute

Christian woman who refused to issue marriage licenses to gay couples could face $225k fine

A Christian woman, Kim Davis, could be forced to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages for failing to issue marriage licences to gay couples. She has been sued by four couples and also urged by Lawyers of the State of Kentucky to pay $225,000 as damages.

Reprot say Kim refused to issue licences to gay couples despite the US supreme Court legalizing same sex marriages.

Her action, which she say is based on her Christian faith, landed her in jail for 5 days with heavy protest against her after she ignored court order.

An attorney of Kentucky State, Palmer Vance said:

“Only Davis refused to comply with the law as was her obligation and as required by the oath of office she took.”

Via an email, a spokesman for the Human Rights Campaign, an advocacy group for LGBT+ rights, said:

“Kim Davis used her office to discriminate against LGBTQ people and push a personal, bigoted agenda – all on the government’s dime,” it said.
